"SI, SE PUEDE"
My Labor Movement Leader
Cesar Chavez was a activist, union leader, and labor organizer who dedicated his life to assuring the fair and just treatment of migrant farm workers. He was responsible for the formation of the National Farm Workers Association.(later known as United Farm Workers) He is known for organizing nonviolent protests, calling for boycotts, and going on hunger strikes. There are many streets, museums, and buildings built or named in honor of Chavez. I personally think of Cesar Chavez as a hero and role model.
SPS - The purpose of this speech is to inform the audience of the significance of Cesar Chavez's lifelong dedication for the improved working conditions, treatment, and pay of migrant farm workers.
Thesis Statement- The compassion, organization, and leadership of Cesar Chavez improved the lives of many migrant workers. His works can still be seen today.
